Today registration opens at DressagePower

Now the registration for this year's edition has been submitted StudioS19 Grand Prix Tour and StudioS19 Young Rider Trophy opened. This year, both the semi-final and final will take place from November 10 to 13 at the Smedstad Equestrian Center in Linköping.

– Last year we had a good starting field, but I think more people should take the opportunity to participate. There aren’t many opportunities to do the kür. The weekend with the semifinal and final will put everything to the test, and that’s fun, says Lina Dolk, who came third in the Grand Prix Tour last year.

This is the sixth year that DressagePower organizes the Young Rider Trophy and Grand Prix Tour with the goal of offering Swedish riders the best possible competitions to prepare them for upcoming championships. Peter Härnstam and Kristian von KrusenstiernaWe want to create a stronger future for Swedish equestrian sport. One way to do this is to create more opportunities for championship-like competitions, with a show jumping final.

– We would like to challenge more Grand Prix riders to join us. This year only one qualifier is required, either nationally or internationally, says Peter Härnstam, founder of DressagePower.

– I think more people should take the chance to participate. I will try to qualify for the StudioS19 Grand Prix Tour with Languedoc, says Lina Dolk.

The riders qualify for the competition around the country on existing competitions, and this year there are more classes to qualify in. The top 20 Grand Prix and Young Rider teams get to ride the semi-finals, and then the top 8 advance to the final day. Both the semi-finals and the final for StudioS19 The Grand Prix Tour and the StudioS19 Young Rider Trophy take place from November 10 to 13 at the Smedstad Equestrian Center in Linköping.

– We are proud to be able to give everyone who rides in the final good prizes. Thanks to our partners StudioS19, With Stockholm Horse Shop and Jackson Hole Originals we can offer high prize money and fine honors prizes. This year we can also offer a few extra surprises during the final weekend, says Peter Härnstam.

Last year Amanda Lindholm came third in the Young Rider Trophy.
– I think it’s a super-good competition. It’s a perfect way to end the season. It’s tough competition and Smedstad Riding Center is a fun arena to ride on. It feels like an international competition. It’s pompous and the prices are great, she says.
– We are happy to be able to offer such a competition in Sweden. There will be a bit of a championship feeling during the final. There will be a lot of nervousness and excitement when a final spot is at stake. It feels like an unofficial indoor championship, says Peter Härnstam.
