We make a difference in Swedish equestrian sport

DressagePower was founded in 2016 and is today a non-profit association with the vision of being a leading player in the development of equestrian sport. We want to be the obvious choice for equestrian enthusiasts, riders, and partners. Everything we do is based on three values:

• Development

It permeates our entire operations and is reflected in all the work we do to make a difference in Swedish equestrian sport.

Background

DressagePower saw a need for new competitions and target groups; in 2016 our first competition, DressagePower Future Stars, was launched. The finals were held until the pandemic at Sweden International Horse Show and quickly gained great attention, both nationally and internationally. The interest clearly showed that there was a need for more competitions for youth and seniors at elite level as well as amateurs.

Over the years, DressagePower has received a very positive response from equestrian associations, leaders, riders, trainers, those active in the sport, and partners.

Sweden's most popular dressage competition

In 2022, we expanded our competition concept and launched DressagePower Horse Show – Sweden’s most prestigious dressage competition. The competition is currently divided into classes for young riders, young horses, elite and amateur riders. In total, we offer and organize seven different competitions. All of our competition teams qualify during the year, and the best ones are then brought together during our own Horse Show. Every October, Smedstad Riding Centre in Linköping transforms into a championship-like dressage arena for riders, spectators, and partners – with extra extras!

Our next step – DressagePower International Horse Show

In 2027 we take our next step with our international Horse Show. This is our biggest new initiative since its launch in 2016 and takes place in Gothenburg in May. A completely new international dressage competition with the ambition to become one of the Nordic region’s leading meeting places for the sport. With the theme ”Inspired by Horses – United in Harmony” We want to create an international arena that brings together riders, horse owners, companies, and audiences in an inspiring environment.

Education & knowledge

We are convinced that the key to success in equestrian sports is education and knowledge. Therefore, in 2019 we launched DressagePower Academy. It was a training program for young riders with high ambitions. The interest was immediately huge – and already the following year the program was expanded to include both dressage and jumping, as well as for senior riders. The training lasted from 2019 to 2022. Our training program has been one of the largest in Sweden for both children, young people, and adults in the equestrian sport – approximately 500 participants have completed our training programs at the Academy!

A club for the entire equestrian sport

We have always wanted to attract and offer something for everyone in equestrian sports, whether you are an active competitive rider, an equestrian sports enthusiast, or a horse owner. That is why DressagePower Club 2017. It’s a club focused on education, knowledge, and community. Our members can take part in physical and digital training sessions, networking, and offers from partners. Our club is incredibly popular with hundreds of members from all over the country!

Ridsporten also engages outside the arena, and we saw early on the need to be able to experience the sport digitally. In collaboration with StudioS19, we launched DressagePower TV – our own live-based channel. Since the start, we have broadcasted from our own competitions and major international events such as Sweden International Horse Show, Falsterbo, Gothenburg Horse Show, Strömsholm and the European Championships in Gothenburg 2017. Today, we broadcast from the DressagePower Horse Show and also offer re-broadcasts of our clinics. Our broadcasts are popular among both the audience and the participants!

DressagePower makes a difference in Swedish equestrian sport. Our key words are innovation, quality, and development with the well-being and welfare of the horse at the forefront. We advocate good riding and horse welfare, something that permeates all our work. We want our social media and channels to be a positive place where the love of horses and the sport meets. With this in mind, we have some guidelines regarding commenting on our social media:

– Keep a good tone with each other.
– Comments that are derogatory, harassing, spreading rumors, hateful, aggressive, sexist or otherwise discriminatory will be restricted. We do not allow personal attacks, defamation, or slander.
– Users who violate our comment rules may be blocked from the page.

We regulate the comment fields on all our social media platforms based on these guidelines.
